Dr. Zhenguang Huang is a professor at the Department of Earth and Space Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China. His research interests focus on space physics and space weather forecasting. He is a core developer of the Space Weather Modeling Framework (SWMF) and has developed various modules, e.g., SWMFSOLAR, the Michigan Geospace Model, cometary and exo-planetary magnetosphere models. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and given invited presentations at various conferences and workshops. He was also an invited participant of the 9th and 10th inaugural CAS-NAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences and U.S. National Academy of Sciences) Forums for New Leaders in Space Science. He is the recipient of NASA Group Achievement Award (University of Michigan Rosetta Modeling Team) and ESA Excellence Recognition for Rosetta Modeling. His recent research projects focus on modeling the solar corona and solar wind, Earth's magnetosphere as well as planetary magnetosphere. His research combines space physics, computational physics, numerical simulations and data analysis, focusing on fundamental sciences and space weather forecasting.
